Our Newest Board Member- Camryn Jewell

CamrynOperation Doing More is excited to introduce our newest board member, Camryn Jewell.

Camryn is a sophomore at Mount Baker High School. She has been involved in student leadership for 3 years, plays trumpet in the Mountaineer Band, and is an active member of the Mount Baker FFA. Camryn is currently playing volleyball and will soon begin her second season on the girls varsity wrestling team.

Operation Doing More’s vision focuses on helping local youth in need. We are thrilled to have Camryn join our team and provide a unique youth perspective that will help grow the support we are able to extend to our community.

Christmas 2018 Results Are In!

Wow, what an incredible season of giving! Thanks to the generous donations by our community and local businesses Operation Doing More was able to fulfill 363 Giving Tree Tags and successfully adopt and provide for 25 families made up of 105 individuals.

Thanks to everyone who donated this year, Christmas is a little brighter, warmer and more magical for so many around us.

Merry Christmas everyone from your thankful friends at Operation Doing More. We couldn’t do this without the help of you all.

2016 Holiday Season Results!

Operation Doing More wants to extend a huge thank you to all the businesses and individuals who helped us to DO MORE than ever this 2016 holiday season. We are excited to announce that with your help we were able to fulfill the needs of 414 Giving Tree Tags and adopt 20 local families in our local community!

Operation Doing More Tag Auction

GiveAs we have done in past years Operation Doing More will be having a  Giving Tree “Tag Auction” this afternoon and again this evening. We will list a tag number with the child’s age and gender and the gift requested. If you would like to purchase this item then comment “sold” on our post. These gifts need to be turned into one of our drop locations by December 10. Thanks again to all of you who help to “Do More” this holiday season!

The Holiday Season Is Here, Time to Help!

This holiday season Operation Doing MORE is working to rally local resources to fill more than

400 children’s gift and clothing requests via Salvation Army Angel Tree gift tags and sponsor 15 families.

We are encouraging local businesses and individuals to sponsor a local family in need, collect new coats and socks or donate funds to help those in our community. Together, we will help DO MORE for those in need.

The deadline to fill tags and adopt a family needs for the 2016 holiday season is December 10th.

22776305 - santa klaus using a laptopOperation Doing More is already well into the planning phase of our 2016 holiday campaign. This year we are planning DO MORE, adopting out 15 families and helping to fulfill 400 gift and clothing requests via Salvation Army Angel Tree tags.

If you or your office would like to help by committing to purchase gifts or household items for individuals or a family, let us know! We would be more than happy to add you to our list to receive a family to adopt or tags.

Family and tag information will be ready for distribution the second week in November. This year’s Salvation Army deadline is December 10th for turning in Angel Tree gifts and family donations.

We would love to have you join us and raise awareness of Operation Doing More while supporting the Arthritis Foundation. It’s a fun way for us to continue to DO MORE for the community this holiday season.

Sign up to run or walk with Operation Doing More  in the Bellingham Jingle Bell Run benefiting the Arthritis Foundation December 10th at 9am.

Jingle Bell Run/Walk®is a fun, festive event for the whole family! Put on your reindeer antlers and your running shoes and come join us Operation Doing More and others in our community in supporting the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run.
There is options for the whole family to get involved from a 1k Kids Fun Run with the Elves to running or walking the full 5k there is sure to be something to fit your needs.  If you aren’t up for walking our running, Sign up for the team and Jingle in your jammies by make a donation to the Arthritis Foundation or come out to cheer on some of our awesome team members. We may even accept hot chocolate donations at the finish line.

Registration opens at 7:00AM at Bellingham High School. Kids Fun Run with the Elves is at 8:30AM. 5K Run / Walk and Dog Trot is at 9:00AM starting on Cornwall Ave.

cropped-OPERATION-dOING-mORE-no-border.jpgThe Holiday Season is already in full swing and there is no better time to start thinking about helping then now.  While we don’t already have our specific Angel Tree tags or family needs, we can always use donations of new and unwrapped toys, gift cards or cash donations to help with Operation Doing More this 2014 Holiday Season.

If you, your family or your business is interested in helping our this year by committing to purchase gifts for a child assigned via a Salvation Army angel tree tag,  by adopting a family, donating new and unwrapped toys or generously donating cash we could always use the help.
